Dr Kikelomo Aboyowa Mbada’s PhD research investigated the political economic bases of disparities in maternal health policy and policy implementation at the subnational level and provided policy prescriptions on maternal mortality, an issue that remains one embarrassing blight on the African political economy. She has a knack for volunteering, particularly in support of her community and the underprivileged in society. She has benefitted from the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) and the Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa (CARTA) grants.
