Prof Awofeso has B.Sc (1989) and M.Sc (1992) degrees in Political Science, both from the University of Lagos, and a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Port Harcourt (2004). He joined the faculty of the University of Uyo in south-south Nigeria in 1994. He transferred his services to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2008. A seasoned scholar who has published widely, Dr Awofeso’s area of interest includes Public Administration, Area Studies, and Local Government Administration. To his credit, he has over thirty journal publications, books, monographs, and book chapters. He was Head of Department from August 2013 to July 2015.
